Hotel Akouas（阿库阿斯酒店）

I stayed here for one night as part of a tour. The room was very tired but everything worked OK. I was next to the railway line so it was a bit noisy. The breakfast was good and was served at the table.

Room was quite reasonable with a newish bathroom. WiFi signal was very good. Breakfast was presented rather than self service which was wasteful as far too much bread was given out. Note that when we stayed (Sept) neither the advertised bar or swimming pool were open and the signs advertising them outside the hotel had been removed, so little likelihood of them opening anytime soon.

I can't comment on the location because I was travelling as part of a small group and was driven everywhere. I had a large room with a seating area. Everything was clean and in working order however other members of our group complained about various features of their rooms. The breakfast was good.

We are with a small (15 person) tour group which used this hotel for an overnight. Adequate at best. Air conditioning in our room did not work. Breakfast was very basic. There was an elevator. We had a large lunch, so had some snacks in our room and thus cannot comment on local places to eat.

The room was basic, but included everything one might need, such as TV, airconditioner and ok standard bed. The great thing about this Hotel was the service at the reception though. The reception guy is fluent in English and gave me a great introduction of The old medina and pointed out all the famous sites on a map. The break fast was also totalt ok and standard. I also found the price very reasonable and good.

This is a comfortable hotel with most amenities needed and clean. No room safe, fridge or hair dryer but great wifi. Air conditioned rooms, full bath and nice continental breakfast. Easy walking distance to food-Burger King across the street.

We stayed here for one night, as part of a tour. The room was clean and comfortable, and reasonably quiet. The rooms at the rear were small but our friend’s room at the front had a sofa, and a balcony! Breakfast was the usual Moroccan fare but my partner cannot eat gluten and they made an effort to bring special veggies instead.

This is an adequate accommodation. It was clean. The staff were not that friendly but would help with a lot of encouragement. The restaurant was lovely but the choices minimalist. There was very little air conditioning and in this heat wave really needed it. Overall it was satisfactory if you only want a bed.

The Hotel room was very clean, the front desk spoke perfect English and all the staff were friendly. Water pressure was excellent. It was welcoming and a comfortable very secure Hotel just up from the train station. The only fault was that the pool was broken. I consider this Hotel a good deal.

We only spent a night here while touring Morocco. The rooms are basic and modern in style, and the single beds comfortable enough. Breakfast was basic but filling. Staff at the front desk spoke French as well as Moroccan.

Comfortable basic hotel with friendly staff and good food. It is near the train station and main street with many shops and side-walk cafes. The wi-fi was good and the room clean and comfortable. A good budget hotel.

Friendly hotel. Rooms are basic and clean. Two single beds. Basic breakfast. Wifi seems dodgy in rooms but worked ok in lobby. Meknes has a crazy marketplace full of jostling and colourful people and products

Pros: - Not a buffet breakfast but there was still a good selection - Clean - Bedrooms have quite a modern look and some even had an additional space for sofa and mini-bar - Close to cafeterias Cons: - Windows were closed but not locked and this made us feel uneasy. We tried speaking to a staff member however he did not understand us due to language barriers.

This is one of those places that don't give you much to talk about, nothing is particularly great but no main low points either. It's just fine for a couple of nights exploring around Meknes. Well located, warm and comfortable enough.

This hotel has seen brighter days, but its confort has not been affected by age. The rooms are spacious and quiet. There is a good restaurant on the first floor, which is convenient if you do not want to take a risk at a local eatery. Wifi is free in the rooms.

Meanest is a welcoming place and this hotel extended that welcome. A light and cool interior took us away from the heat of the day. My room was booked for single occupancy but it was impressively large with an equally spacious balcony and a fair sized bathroom. It is wrong to compare Moroccan bathrooms with European ones. However this was modern, spotlessly clean and everything worked well. Once again I found the Moroccan liking for a firm mattress took me to the land of nod just perfectly. I liked it here

The location was very nice, in the new part of town, but still very close to the medina and the main attractions of the city. About a 35 minutes walk or a 15dh taxi ride to the medina. The CTM bus station and the train stations were very close. The room was very big, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and had a nice bathtub. The breakfast was nice (bread, jam, boiled egg, cake, yogurt, cheese, juice, tea, coffee and milk).The guy that was on the reception desk wasn't very friendly. Overall, a nice hotel, very well located.

Akouas hotel is a fare selection for Meknes city. Very cheap, very clean with king size bed. The hotel is very old and in some cases it seems that a renovation is required. I enjoyed the large bath and the king size bed. Internet connection was some problematic. Breakfast is not acceptable for Europen citizens.
